Intimate Partner Violence includes “dating violence” and “domestic violence.” The university will evaluate the existence of an intimate relationship based upon the Complainant’s statement and taking into consideration the length of the relationship, the type of relationship and the frequency of interaction between the persons involved in the a particular type of intimate relationship violence that occurs when partners in a current or former intimate relationship are or have been cohabiting in the same space or have a child in common.
However, whether physical violence happens once a week, or once a year, it’s still violence and doesn’t belong in a healthy relationship.
